“Between what is said and not meant, and what is meant and not said, most of love is lost.”
― Khalil Gibran
I find this quote to be true over and over again. I approach counseling as an advocate. I can’t save you from pain, but I can walk with you. I enjoy working with people to help them find peace, hope, and joy. I have worked with people who have experienced life events that will or have changed them forever. Some life events do change us forever; trauma, success, and love. Attending counseling takes courage. If you are reading this, I believe that you are courageous and have strengths beyond your wildest dreams.
The hardest person you will ever face is yourself!
I did not plan on pursuing a career in counseling; does anyone? However, counseling found me. I was interested in the field of counseling but did not believe I would ever be one. Long story short, I have been a counselor for 18 years and have enjoyed almost every minute of it.
"In the end, it's not the mountain that you must master, but yourself." Adapted from Edmund Hilary
